A downloadable asset pack

Unleash your own zombie apocalypse with this awesome pixel art tileset!

You'll have all the graphics you'll need to make an awesome zombie game:

–An incredible and detailed pixel art post-apocalyptic scenery with buildings, a farm, an animated windmill, a scarecrow, different lengths of crops, a tractor, a gas station, fences, roads, traffic signs, broken cars, a car with 8 top-down directions to make it drivable. Vegetation, breakable boxes for getting items, an exploding barrel (it is meant to use the same explosion animation as the grenade mentioned below), bridges, animated water...

–Animated characters: a player character with top-down walking and taking damage animation, 4 different type of zombies, small, medium and big, with top-down walking and taking damage animations, and a turret zombie without legs with an animation for shooting vomit at the player. Animated blood is included. 2 birds with animations for flying around, posing on the ground and eating something from it, even a dying animation intended for the player to shoot them. A guy with a van intended to add a merchant to your game that sells you items and upgrades.

–Multiple items: 4 different type of weapons, a knife, a pistol, a shotgun and a grenade, all with melee and shooting animations and an explosion animation for the grenade. Other items for the player to pick up and use: money, 3 different amounts of ammo, small, medium and big, 2 types of health kits, small and big, a radio intended to be placed in the scenery by the player to attract the zombies, a gas can to pick up gas and refill the player's car. There's even a soft drink can with an animation for shooting at it.

–An inventory interface, with big and detailed icons for all the pickable items.

I recommend having a look at this little demo I've put together a while ago with this tileset to get an idea of what type of game it could be made and how the graphics would work all together:

uwu! thank you! so so much!

Really like the stylization and color scheme, and all the little bits and pieces!

WARNING TO POTENTIAL BUYERS:

Great artwork but extremely painful to use. It's just one large image with no consistent padding, you will get frustrated if you want to actually use this. It would be ideal if this was in a standard or consistent format or separate images so. I regret purchasing this as I'm spending too much time trying to split it up properly.

Hello, thank you so much for purchasing. I’m really sorry about your struggles with the set. This comes from a place of ignorance on my behalf, so I apologize. I’m just an artist and I didn’t really understand that something more specific than just the art would be needed, I thought each person could then split it according to their needs. I also wasn’t planning to do any other tilesets to put for sale, I had this one that I did for a potential game I wanted to make, but since I ended up not using it, I thought on making it available for other people to use. I’m currently splitting every single asset and I will update the product, I hope it helps. Apologies again!

Ittai, thank you for the reply. I am excited to get the updated asset and appreciate you taking the time to make the tile set a bit easier to import! Most import tools expect a grid of some sort, there can be spacing between tiles and even padding before tiles start but it needs to be consistent or it won’t work out. Thank you again!

Hi! I’ve just updated the set with every single asset separated on their own file. I hope this helps!

it is very difficult to use especially when using tilemaps, i would love it if there were no white spaces between sprites everywhere!!. or maybe provide a singles of each sprite instead.

I wish it could be fixed anytime soon. It is a very good pack, and I just wanted it to be used for convenience.

hey man! Juat wanted to say that I loved your pack, it's such an wonderful tileset. One thing that would be good to add are atlas images, with the tiles together. Most game engine have an automatic setup for tileset, which they cut them in the right size. That's why an atlas would be a good idea to improve your work.

With atlas, I mean this:

Hello, Ittai! Can i use your assets  for my game? I'm beginner in gamedev and i want to create an intresting  game about apocalypse. I hope you will support me if you allow me to use your resources for my game. Thank you for your attention, Ittai! Waiting for your reply!

Hi, I purchased this and notice that in some places, there are 3 pixels between the rows of tiles and 1 pixel between the columns of tiles, and in other places, there are no pixels between the tiles.

That makes it impossible to use this tileset in a tilemap editor without a lot of time spent making tedious manual changes. There is no way to set the spacing in a way that doesn't mangle some of the tiles (such as the trucks, some buildings, and other tiles that have pixels where there should be empty space).

Could you please upload a version where the spacing is standardized? Either all together with no spacing, or all apart by the same distance.

loved the tileset, gonna give it a try! great work

Thank you so much! 😊

This is really cool looking. Does it have indoors sprites for the building, if not do you plan to add some in the future?

Hello! Thank you for your kind words. All the tileset sprites included are shown in one of the screenshots, so there you can see what's included. Indoor sprites are not included, and at the moment I'm not planning to expand this tileset further.
